How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am currently preparing for the raining season. Normal life gets difficult during the raining season and as a way to ensuring that I remain focus and don't be bother about hunger, I have embarked on buying red oil ahead of the raining season. During the raining season, there is always demand for oil and by that I will sell the oil I have in saving and use the money to improve my life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly is doing well. For the fact that they are helping us with no hesitation, I am happy for the progress made thus far through their financial help. They are actual good by helping poor and single women.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Considering that hardship that comes during the time of rain, I am presently buying and saving oil to sell during the raining season. This is another way of improving my life through business.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
The roof of the house I'm currently living in is very deplorable. Holes are on almost all of the zinc sheets. The sticks that were used to roof the house are all filled with bugs. Benefiting from this cash grant will greatly empower me to renovate my house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My older brother and I had a long standing disagreement that lasted a little over ten years. We both did speak to each other neither did we attend any family gathering together. Finally in June, our disagreement was settled. Since then it's like a load has been taken off me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My family is engage into subsistence farming, we usually sell some of our products to buy other essential commodities. But, with the limited buyers, we sell at a very low cost which can not permit us to acquire most of the items we need. My major challenge currently, is access to cash.
