How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
There is a big difference in my life because I managed to pay my child's school fees in time. The transfers also facilitated agricultural activities and I am hopeful of getting good harvest come the season. Prior to receiving this money, my child could not stay at school due to lack of finacial support.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to give me money that has supported me to weed my crops and plaster my house. Every thing has gone well and our hearts are grateful. There is nothing that has gone wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer for paying my daughter's school fees, weeding crops and plastering my house.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has changed because I have the capacity to hire people to work in my farm. I can now farm in a large scale. Previously, I had to farm in small scale since I could not afford to pay for labour. In addition, my son is now able to have a meal and concentrate at school because I have paid off the school fees debt. Before getting the transfer, my son was not allowed to eat food from school and at times he was sent away.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer, I felt very happy because I got money for fees for my son who was resitting senior four.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent my first transfer for plastering my permanent house. I bought building materials ( 5 bags of cement, 1 trip of sand and bricks) worth UGX 525,000, paid fees debt for my son who is in secondary school worth UGX 600,000, hired labour for Agriculture worth UGX 110,000. There is a balance which I can not estimate but I'm planning to spend it on labourers who are going to plaster my house.
