What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent most of my third transfer to build a house since I had a small old house that couldn't accommodate us with my family, I also bought food for my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I would be still having my small old house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on purchasing food to sustain the family,invested some amount in a business and spent most of the money on building a decent spacious house because the previous one was small.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I eat well because of the enough food that I bought and from the business that I started with the transfer.

I spent 3,000 KES to buy poles, bought one and a half bags of maize for 4,000 KES and the remaining amount was spent on buying food and offsetting some debts.

I am planning to buy construction materials and construct a new and bigger house as the current one is quite small.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my first transfer on buying poles that I will use in building my house and the second transfer I will spend on buying other building materials like sand and cement. The final transfer I will spend on paying school fees for my child who is in secondary and the other one who is in primary school.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement that I am proudest of is that we were able to buy a cow and a goat using cash that we had saved when we used to work in a tea plantation.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face in my life is that our income is not stable and this has forced us to go to bed hungry on several occasions.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I go to my farm in the morning to plough it. I feel happy because I have hope that when I harvest I will have enough food to feed my family.
