How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Had I not received GiveDirectly cash transfer, I would be sleeping in a leaky grass thatched house. Thanks be to GiveDirectly who have enabled me sleep in a better iron roofed house, specious enough to stay in.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well through sending cash transfer through mobile money which reduces the risks of loss. I have not yet encountered a scenario where GiveDirectly had not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX 351,000 for purchasing cement, I bought sand of UGX 160,000, I bought two doors and a window UGX 370,000, all these was towards completing construction of my house. I paid tuition for my brothers worth UGX 300,000 and I bought a heifer worth 451,000 to act as an income generating activity for the household.
