How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different in that i have a more clear mind and I am able to plan myself well since i have a financial ability.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
We are so grateful that Givedirectly came and uplifted us financially and improved our lives. We are now able to pay school fees and take of my families. The did everything accordingly.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used the second transfer to buy a cow for rearing and bought furniture and sprayer. I also bought seeds and fertilizer for planting. I built a kitchen and bought food with the remaining.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
We now have a new house in our homestead. We have been living in a small old house but now we have a new and more spacious one. We are happy and grateful for Give Directly funds. Our school fee needs, food and clothes are now catered for courtesy of Give Directly. Thank you.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
We were really happy as a family when we received Give Directly transfer, we were all at home at that time.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
We spent the transfer that we received from Give Directly as follows :15000 KES school fee, clothes 5000 KES, food 5500 KES, iron sheets for building a house 9000 KES and the balance I plan to buy utensils and household items.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money mean that I will be able to pay school fees for my children and buy a dairy cow. I have been admiring my neighbors dairy farming. It has been my dream to one day own one.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I'm with my family, I feel blessed seeing them health and happy
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship in my life is when my three children joined school, I had no money to pay for their school fees and I was forced to sell part of my land
