How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No new goal for now except to plaster and paint my house. My prayers of living in a zinc house and supplying my children with their needs and wants have been my greatest worry. Am so happy that those plans have turned into action.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
No organization is compared to Give Directly. This great organization has changed the lives of many citizens of this Liberia. My poor living conditions have changed into a better life. I Am blessed to be beneficial to the program.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought a three-bedroom house. I also pay for planks and other materials to design my house. The balance was used for transportation.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have a house in Gbediah Town where my wife and children live. My home is still in good shape but all of the windows and doors are unprotected from mosquitoes bite. Also, I have a tiger generator and I've been planning to buy wire and light bulbs so that I could begin my phone charging business. When I received my transfer, I thought about more than one source of income. Because of that, I used portion of my transfer to complete my three bedroom apartment in Gbankaystown. This town is few kilometers away from Gbediah. When the house is completed, I will put it in rent. Proceeds acquired from renting my house will be used to take good care of my family. The idea of completing my house in Gbankaystown has become my newest objective because it wasn't part of my initial plans until I received my second transfer from GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
From my personal point of view, GiveDirectly has been very awesome in all they do. They have touched our lives positively by giving us poor people money and allowing us to choose how to use it. For all the years I've lived, I haven't seen anything like this. GiveDirectly is so unique and incomparable. I prayed to God each day that GiveDirectly continue to do best what she has started and transition as many lives through out Liberia. This organization has done everything almost perfectly and I personally do not see anything they've done wrong thus far.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
A huge portion of the money received from GiveDirectly was spent on renovation. I bought enough string doors and chicken wires for all of the doors and windows within my house in Gbediah Town. These strain doors and wired Windows would protect my wife and children from mosquito bites. Thus, allowing us to live happily by staying healthy. A second portion of my transfer was used to purchase 2 rows of wire, circuits and few pieces of light bulbs to begin my phone charging business. Finally, the remaining portion of my transfer was used to feed and pay workers for completing my house in Gbankaystown. I couldn't have accomplished all of the above without GiveDirectly's money transfer. I'm privileged to be a part of this all important project.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was walking alone the road going to a clinic where I am serving as a security guide. I received a message from GiveDirectly that my transfer has been sent. I was very happy. I started calling all my friends to inform them to check their phones. I called my wife to give her the good news. She started to appreciate God for his goodness. My daughter has been ill for many years. Almost all of our incomes have been used on medical bills. I started a building project, but I couldn't complete it because of my daughter medical condition. When I received this transfer, I was able to buy materials for my building project, and I was also able to pay some of her medical bills.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Since I received my transfer , my family is happy, the joy in our house has increased. I'm not worry about saving money to complete the building project, because, I have already bought the building materials with my first transfer. I used my little salary I get from my work place now to put enough food on my family table. This is the biggest difference in my daily life now.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have an unfinished building that I built many years ago and couldn't complete because of my daughter illness. I used my transfer to purchase cement, sand and other building materials to enable me complete the building project. It is in my plan to rent the building when it's completed. This building when done will sustain my family when GiveDirectly is gone. I already have a house that my family is living in. It is GiveDirectly transfer that has helped me to buy all these materials. I also used some of the money for my daughter medical bills.
