What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
We bought materials to build our house and we are builiding it because we used to rent but now we have our own house. Materials and building costs us $470
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
It helped people to leave from their poverty. Everything that GD has done is good
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I used to ask God that he can give us our own house and our livestock and God answered my prayers through GiveDirectly. I am so happy because we have got what we needed

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge we are facing is that we don't have our own house. This one we pay for it $2 per month. Normally we are not stable, we are used to shift from one house to another and it's not easy to find the rent fee. We have to do casual labor like cultivating for others, currying some loads to get paid in return. In general living by renting it's a big challenge.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The best thing that happened to us and brought happiness in our hearts is that God has blessed us with a baby girl and now she is 5 months.
What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
The first thing we are planning to do is to buy metal sheets and start the foundation of the house because we already have the parcel in which we will build our house. Those activities will cost $250. The other thing we will buy a pig because it gives birth easily and in short period and it will help us to get manure that will be used in our farming activities. The pig will cost $25. We will also buy mattress for $30 and kitchen materials that will cost 20$. The rest of money will be put on savings expecting that in the coming days will be used for the construction of our house or other business.
