How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Apart from always going for treatment as prescribed by the doctor, I have always had three meals a day without anyone's help. Before the transfers, I would really struggle to put food on my table because I do not have any source of income. I have always depended on well-wishers who do not come by on a daily basis. With the transfers, I have been able to ensure I use it wisely for medication, food and other household needs. I do not want to beg anymore as I used to.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to build a new kitchen. This is because my main house is too small which cannot accommodate my whole family plus cooking. I do cook using firewood and the smoke from the same is unhealthy for my life. This will help me even during the rainy seasons when the rains fall anytime inconvinieceing my cooking.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving these transfers is that I have been able to go for treatment as scheduled by the doctor. I have been suffering from high blood pressure for the last two years. During that period, I have been missing some doctors appointments due to lack of money. This caused my condition to worsen as I have not been on medication as required. Ever since I started receiving the transfers, I have been able to go for every appointment because it is a monthly visit. I have always had money to buy drugs and pay for doctor's consultation with the transfers. I am feeling much better and I hope to get well if I don't miss any more appointment.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I still want to focus on my treatment. With GD transfers, I have come to know that I still have a bright future. This is the reason why I want to ensure I do not miss any doctor's appointment. I believe when I commit to this, my health will get better and I will be back on my feet.
