How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed because through these cash transfers, I have been able to build a permanent house and acquire Livestock ( an ox). I plan to agree with someone who also has an ox so that we put them together and plough shifts. Previously, I slept in a leaking thatched house and I could not afford to hire oxen to plough my farm land.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by enabling me to build a permanent house and acquire Livstock. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought building materials( paint, timber, 2 bags of cement ), Livestock ( an ox) and paid labour.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My daily life is different in that I have been in position to construct an iron roofed house which I hope to enter after fitting doors and windows when I recieve my second transfer. I am currently sleeping in a grass thatched hut that leaks whenever it rains and the space is not enough for me, children and agricultural produce.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I recieved my transfer I became very happy because I have never held such an amount in my entire life and my plan to construct an iron roofed house was going to be achieved.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to purchase 4 trips of bricks at UGX 750,000, 14 pieces of iron sheets at UGX 392,000, 7 bags of cement at UGX 196,000, timber, nails and paying for construction labour at UGX 250,000.
