The biggest difference in my daily life is that my family lived in a grass-thatched house that leaked, but GD came to our rescue and not only did we manage to move but we also put up a better and bigger house. Thank you very much.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent most of my first transfer on buying cushions for my seats to make them more comfortable and I also bought a solar lighting system for my home as kerosene proved to be expensive.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt surprised when I received the money yet very happy because I didn't expect as with the case of many NGO's who have worked in my area, made promises but never delivered.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is poor shelter. I have no peace during rainy seasons as my grass thatched roof profusely leaks and causes a lot of discomfort.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I get paid from casual labor and buy food and pay fees for my children.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means a great change and development in my life. I would like to built a spacious iron roofed house that is more decent and presentable. I would also like to use the remaining part to buy a mattress and bed.
