How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to help my 3 sisters to get back in school by paying their school fees.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
We did not have the hand to live in a better house or send our children to school, Givedirectly has done well by helping us achieve those important things. There's nothing they don't do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of zinc along with 8 packs of nails to build a new house. I spent some of the money on my sisters' school fees. I saved 25,000 to later use on my house project.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was really in need at the time the money came. I sometimes cry because I didn't have money send to my son to school. My father is dead and I live in his friend's house. I wanted a better place to live but I didn't have the money to do so. When I received the money, I was so happy and started to sing "Give Directly took away tears from eyes and I'm grateful to God for that".
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I did hard labor just to earn money for food and now that I am pregnant, I'm unable to work. I sometimes stay hungry as a result of this. Since I received the first transfer from Give Directly, I've stopped because I can afford to buy food without doing labour jobs.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to take care of son's educational expenses and I bought zinc to build a new house. I also bought food with some of the money.
