How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently from how it was four months ago because I managed to buy a mattress and other beddings. I used to sleep on a hard surface because the mattress I had was very old and thin. I also bought my children new uniforms and currently they look very smart while in school unlike the past when they had torn uniforms.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to build a new house. I have been living in a small house which is in very bad condition. I have bought building materials using the transfer I received from GiveDirectly. Once I get all the materials needed I will begin laying the foundation of my new house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life preceding the current transfer owning a dairy cow. I had desired to keep livestock of my own but could not raise money to buy some because I had no reliable source of income. I am hopeful that my cow will multiply to add me more cows as well as provide us with milk which we will sell to earn some income.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have built and moved into my new house. I will be able to buy more furniture to make my house look more beautiful. Having a bigger house will also increase privacy because I will be having a separate bedroom, unlike the single roomed house I am currently sheltering in.

The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving the money is that I have the hopes of soon building a bigger house because I have already bought the building materials required.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have astarted up a business so that I can have a source of income and with this I won't rely on my spouse for everything.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different from the way it would have been had I not received the money in that if it wasn't for the money by now I wouldn't have bought any building material, meaning I wouldn't be havinng hopes of building a bigger house.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I do not have any new goal but all I want is to achieve the goal of building a bigger house and later start up a new business.

The biggest hardship that i have faced was dealing with the trauma of losing my seven year old child to an untimely and a very horrible death when unknown assailants broke into our house and hacked her to death.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is around mid day when my children come back home from school. After taking their lunch, they assist me in taking care of their youngest sibling as i rest a bit from a hard days work in the farm.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on expanding my current house since it is very small and can hardly fit all of my belongings and family members under one roof.
