What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Recieving this cash means a lot to me because i will be able to purchase land at $1,621 in a safer place to settle with my family in bwangani or buwagongo, yet to decide on one and also do some commercial farming of ground-nurts at $251. This will help me and my family to improve on our standards of living.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the past 6 months, what has brought me joy in my life is when my 1 cow gave birth and i began to sell some milk to earn some income and the balance for my family to take. I was also happy when i harvested my 1 bag of ground-nurt and family enjoyed it and also my family is able to atleast get a meal in a day and that brings me joy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
One of the challanges am currently experiencing is hunger due the flash floods that keep on destroying our crops on our snalk gardens whenever it rains heavily. The other challange am facing at the moment is lack of money to pay school fees for my children, I have 2 who are in high school, and the 7 grand children are in primary different classes and all of them needs school fees of which i cant afford to pay all their school dues. I depend on farming which has helped me to have food for my family and get some money out of my farm produce to meet other basic needs of my family. In the near future I plan to have commercial poutry farming which will produce milk and meat for selling in order to improve on my income.
