My new goal is to build a house. I have started that since receiving my transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly does very well when it comes ro helping people to build houses and live a better life. Nothing I see at the moment Givedirectly is not doing well. Maybe someday in the future.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Ooh my sister, I was feeling very happy when I received the cash transfer. Before the cash came, I went on people farms to do contracts but after fulfilling my duties, my contractors will not pay me instead they will insult me. This went on for years now. In the year 2020 my children did not attend school because of it. Thanks to Give Directly for the assistance given me and my children.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference the cash has made in my life is I won't go on someone farm to do contracts again, as my eyes are already going blind gradually. My children will be able to attend school, and I will also be able to seek medical treatment for my eyes. Thanks Give Directly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of zinc to build my house. Took some to get treatment for my eyes as am going blind gradually, and then paid my two children tuitions. Thanks again GD.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"If I am bless to get a cash transfer from Givedirectly, I intend to build a house for my children and use the remaining to start a business that will bring in regular cash to support my children. The house I am living in presently is breaking down on us and that I inherited it from my late uncle. My children can not inherit it, but if I build my own house, my children can inherit it. Even though I cut contract daily to help me and my children with food, but the money I make is not sufficient to help build house and at the same time cater to my family. If Givedirectly will be kind enough to provide me with a cash to change me and my children life I will remain forever grateful".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"What makes me happy in the past six months is when Coulabaly, a friend assisted me in January of this year during the time I got seriously sick with $2,000.00 Liberian dollars so that I could go to hospital. This makes me happy because I didn't had anyone to help. I tried seeking credit from friends, but to no avail. So, for someone who is not my relative can help me with money to go to hospital really makes me happy".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"The biggest hardship facing me now is money to buy food for the family and build my own house because I didn't make farm last year. This was because I got seriously sick and was unable to make farm. At present, I help those who made farm to cut their rice so that it can help me get food for the family. Any assistance that Givedirectly can give me that will help me and my family will be highly appreciated".
