How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
From the beginning of Givedirectly program my goal was to improve my house which was in a very bad condition. Due to the lack of finance to renovate, it nearly broke down on me. Through the help of GiveDirectly cash transfer, I was able to achieve my goal of improving the house. I am now satisfied with the house and more relixed as well. My new goal is to invest in business so that I can continue generating more money for my family expenses in the future to come. I am so thankful to GiveDirectly for this great opportunity because my house could have broken down on me.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly have done nothing wrong. GiveDirectly have done well by helping me with such amount of money to improve my house and moreover by making me to invest into business that will help me to continue earning more money for future used. I have not been living happily because of my house condition. Due to the lack of finance, I have been unable to recondition the house my family and I are staying in. From my previous transfers from Givedirectly, I was able to buy enough cement for the plastering and laying of the floor. I was so much happy when I receive my recent transfer from Givedirectly. From my recent transfer I was able to pay people to plaster my house and lay the floor. The remaining portion of the recent transfer I used it to invest into business so that I can continue generating more money for my family expenses in the future.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly my desired had been to renovate my house. And in renovating, I am planning on plastering the entire house. Additionally, I also planned on laying the entire floors. For this reason, I was able to buy additional 5 bags of cement to be added to the previous 4bags of cement in order to plaster my house and lay the floors.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has been doing a great job. All efforts and sacrifices applied by this Organization to reach us the needy is so much commendable. This is the very first time in my life to receive such a huge amount from any one or organization. Honestly speaking, GiveDirectly has not done anything that is not well. Thanks to GiveDirectly for this life changing opportunity.

After receiving payment from GiveDirectly, With my goal to plaster my house and lay the floors, I was able to buy ten bags of cement. The remaining money will be spend on buying sand. Moreover, I am keeping the remaining money to use as workmanship for the contractors. I feel very delighted for all the changes taking place in my. All thanks to GiveDirectly.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving payment from GiveDirectly, I never thought about changing the old zinc roof of my house to a better one. Presently, I do not have any job or any source of income that could be use to change the roof. With this transfer I am planning on changing the entire roof of my house to a new and better one. However, I used most of my money to buy zinc and roofing. With this new goal of changing my roof though GiveDirectly financial assistance is so much remarkable.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has been doing well from the beginning of this program until now. The level of professionalism and transparency shown by this Organization is commandable. Truly speaking, GiveDirectly has not done anything bad.

After receiving payment from GiveDirectly, with my new goal of changing my house roof, I used a good portion of the money to two bundles of zinc for the roofing project. Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy for the money and I was dancing all around my town because I received a huge amount that I didn't suffer for. Some people said that this money wasn't good and it was fake. Looking at my condition from my young age till now,I've been suffering but I thank God now that GiveDirectly is here to help me.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that,my life have improve. The money has made me to get things that I wouldn't afford to buy or get on my own. I am about to renovate my house and I'm forever grateful to GiveDirectly .

I bought a new mattress and four bags of cement to renovate my house. I was also able to buy food, household utensils,my baby's clothes,and some items for my wife. I never had a means of getting any of this on my own.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I want to change the zinc on my house, it's old and spoiling, I also want to plaster the house and put it in good shape and get enough food for my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Few months ago, the palm trees were producing more palm and I was able to make more oil and sell it, the money was helpful in maintaining the household and I was happy because I was playing my role as the head of household.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
It's raining havily so there is no too much work doing to bring in money, normally I can cut palm and produce oil for sale but the rain is slowing it down, we are struggling to get money or food.
