Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has changed because through this cash transfer, I acquired oxen for ploughing my farm land. This time a round I am sure of good yields since I planted my g-nuts at the right time. In addition, I am also clearing the other farm land and I intend to plant more crops. Previously, I farmed late because I hired other people's oxen and that was after first doing some casual labour.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt very happy because I was sure of buying oxen for ploughing my farm land.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent my first transfer on purchasing oxen worth UGX 1,300,000 and made bricks for building my permanent house worth UGX 400,000

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means owning oxen and ox plough for ploughing. This will creat effecitiveness and efficiency in farming hence good yields will be realised. I have been the last to cultivate because, neighbours want to plough their farm land first then I am given oxen when the planting season has passed. I will the complete construction work in my house. The more we are staying in is not complete and there is need to fix Windows and doors in order to improve on ventilation not forgetting plastering and flooring it. This will improve on our standard of living.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening after doing household chores. I sit down and refect on how the day went. If it went on well, it's the time for me to celebrate with the little ones as we tell stories.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The bigget hardship I face in my household is that, I do not own oxen of my own. I am a peasant farmer relying on farming in order to find a living and income. I do not have enough food at home because of delayed crop cultivation which affects crop harvest. I can not cultivate on a big portion of land because some times I did with a hand hoe which is tideous. This has made my household vulnerable to famine and diseases among children due to weak immunity as a result of inadequate food.
