How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My health has improved now because I feed twice or thrice a day. I was able to stock some food in the house. I now sleep and dress well becuase I spent the transfer on acquiring mattress and clothes. I'm also constructing another home in the near by village since here where I live we have some land wranglles. Prior to getting this money, I used to sleep on a very old mattress and dressed on rags which is no longer the case nowadays. In addition to that my current house is dilapidated and anytime It can collapse.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD has done so well in supporting me financially. I'm an old woman and a widow living in very poor conditions. GD did well to transfer cash direct to us other than channelling it to other angencis which could have defrauded us. According to me, I haven't seen anything wrong done by GD.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfers on acquiring household items like mattress, utensils and clothes. I also spent this transfer for ferrying building materials to a new place I will shift too very soon. I addition to that I have loaned some money to my son for paying school fees for my grandchildren.
