What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third Transfer on saving some money to buy more stock for my business in the future, spent a little on assorted food items and also bought a present for my mother
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because a while back I was a Domestic Employee for an Asian family and earning 3,000 KES per month and could not take care of my family and I often felt desperate and hopeless. Currently I am self-employed (selling second-hand clothes and charcoal) which I established using the Transfers. I take home 300 KES on a bad day and 1,000 KES on a good day, and besides I banked 30,000 KES in an Account for a rainy day and these days I am able to take care of my family without too much stress. Thank you GD for facilitating my life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GD has done wonderfully well by facilitating us to change our lives in this village. However GD has not done well because there is no system to verify those who spent the Transfer in ways that would create wealth, because I feel this category of people need to be encouraged by being given further assistance strictly to boost the businesses they have started.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer to expand my charcoal business by buying more stock and opening another stall. My business is now boosted and I believe it will enable me and my family to have a source of income.I also used a portion of the transfer to buy my children school items and to admit them back to school since they had dropped out due to lack of school fee.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I can now stand on my own, I have some stability. I do not have to beg or wait for handouts from relatives to help me take care of my children.
