How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Plan to pay my school fees, I wasn't in school and wasn't able to buy things for myself like house furniture and cooking utensil because i was living by myself and there were no support from anywhere My life change tight after GiveDirectly came with their program to our community

Satta says she feels so happy and excited to receive that money because she has not receive such an amount before.

The biggest difference in my daily life since i received this money is that i will be able to sell my market i.e start my fish business everyday and eat good food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
" My plan is for us to go back to school. I (recipient) drop out of school 10 years now due to the lack of money. It has been my man and I decision that I go back to school the day we will get enough money. My husband is out of school, and wants me complete my school".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"I really don't know what have make happy in past six months. I can say today I feeling happy because of this phone I get. At least I have phone now".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"My challenges are many. First amongst is my going back to school. Next is place to live. You see our house, one single room. And the last one is food. Though there are other problems, but if we can settle these ones it will be good for us".
