What did you spend your third transfer on?
My husband did not inherit any family land from his parents, after my husband passed on, I did not have any land to build my compound. So when I received my third transfer, I bought half an acre piece of land. I am happy I now have land and soon the title deed will be out. The remaining I used to start a business of fish mongering business. I am happy I no longer have to beg from neighbours and I will no longer have to do those tiring odd jobs. I am grateful for the money. I am so excited.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer majorly on building an iron roof house, buying two sheep for rearing, purchasing firm inputs for my rice farm and still spending some on daily food consumption.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I have moved from an old grass thatched house which was leaking to a reasonable semi permanent house. Besides I am no longer relying on tedious casual work to feed my children who could stay hungry the whole day when I dint have money.Life was very difficult for me after my husband passed away and left me with young children to take care of but I thank GiveDirectly for lifting my burdens.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on buying 2 sheep for breeding and the remaining cash I spent on buying food.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when I received the transfer. I'm old and I can't do hard work available to get cash to sustain me, so the transfer is of great help. Thanks a lot GD.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy building materials like ironsheets, timber, nails and build an iron roofed house since my current house is too small and it's really leaking when it's raining.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that as a young widow I have managed to work hard and ensure that I provide food and education for my children.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest challenge is that I do not have a stable income and that my house is really leaking but I lack money to change it to iron roofed.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning when I set up for work.
