How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving my recent transfer, I had the planned to renovate my house roof and do plastering and floor laying. With this planned I used a portion of the money and bought two bundles of zinc to change the leaking roof. Furthermore I used some of the money and bought eight bags of cement to plaster and lay the floors. I am so grateful to be one of the beneficiaries of this unique program that had brought so much relieved to me.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My husband cut palmnuts and make oil out of it. I then take the oil to local markets to sell. Sometimes we walk hours just to take the oil to market. The business dont always sell. Due to the poor economy customers hardly buy. That makes it difficult for us to sustain our family. We started building our house but couldn't compete it. Thankfully GiveDirectly came to our town and we got enrolled in its cask program. Our lives will now get better.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly is not doing anything unwell. I'm so grateful for its cash program. It is a great opportunity to improve our lives. I am amazed by how they live up to their promise. This is a life changer.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It is about two years that my children have not been in school. I am happy for this money coming because my children are going to be back in school again. I was happy when I received my first transfer because I have been struggling with lot of things. I am supposed to pay children school fees and buy their school materials and also pay back people debt that I am owing. I also spend some the money on my sick son in the sick bush for his treatment. I was so happy when I received my first transferred from Givedirectly because I knew that this money would help me greatly with my many problems in the future. I am glad now because my children are in school and my son's treatment is on going.
