How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The newest plan is to complete my house project. However, I'm also thinking about buying my last bundle of zinc to compete with my house project. I also pay my children's tuition and bought them some schools material. I just paid for a few picks of planks and some zinc nails for roofing. I have to struggle to build a house but because of my low income, I was not able to build zinc.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My family and I never had a suitable place to lay our heads. Our house is very old and the sticks are almost rotten. The roof is also falling apart. Therefore, when I received my transfer from GiveDirectly, I was very pleased and started jubilating. I will use portion of my transfer to renovate my old house. The remaining portion of my transfer will be used to construct a new and bigger house for me and my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Initially, my family and I lived in a very old and depleted house. My old house has collapsed. There seems to be no place for me and my family to relax at night. Suddenly, GiveDirectly has changed my situation through their financial support. Being able to build my own house has being the biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving transfer from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I needed to renovate my old house and also build a new and bigger house for my family. Due to low income, it was impossible for me to execute my plans. Nonetheless, when I received my transfer, I bought 2 bundles of zinc ($21,000LD). Likewise, I used portion of my money to purchase 1 carton of zinc nails and mixed nails to roof my house. It is amazing to know how much my dreams have come close to reality due to GD's financial assistance.
