How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Over the last four months, I have been able to pay my children's school fees on time. I have also been able to save up some of my transfers and used the savings to buy a goat. So far, the children do not have any outstanding fee balances and this has been the greatest difference in my daily life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The current house that we are staying in is too small to comfortably accommodate all of us. We had to build this small house in a rush when we were forced to move into our own compound while we did not have enough money to build a bigger house. All along we have had the desire to build a bigger house but it has not been possible to actualize this dream especially when our children joined secondary school and we had to concentrate on raising money to pay their school fee. We, however, have plans of buying the necessary building materials and putting up a new house before the end of the year. This will be possible because we have already cleared our children's school fees for this year.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life that has been brought about by these transfers over the last four months is that I have been able to pay school fees for my two children who are in high school in time. This has seen them stay in school at all times contrary to the days when they could be sent home for fees and hence an improvement in their performance. With this, I have been able to have peace of mind as I do not have to worry about what I can do to raise the school fees.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change over the next six months in that we shall have built a new and bigger house. This, I expect to do with the help of GiveDirectly transfers knowing very well that the support we receive from GiveDirectly is coming to an end soon.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life has changed over the past four months as I have seen a tremendous growth in my business which was at the verge of collapsing due to poor management. This has enabled me to comfortably take care of my household and personal needs and even pay my child's school fees in time to avoid her being sent away from school which was quite frequent in the past.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My husband and I have agreed that after clearing our daughter's school fees for this term, we will combine our transfers for the next three months so that we can buy livestock that can later be a reminder to us of GD's great impact in our lives after this project is over. The end date for this project is soon approaching hence the need to buy the livestock as soon as possible.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have a small doughnut business which has been my source of income for the past year. This business has not grown since it was started because most of my family needs are catered for by the little profits I make out of it because my husband does not have a stable source of income leaving all the household burdens on me which includes school fees. In the past four months, I have seen my business grow because it has gotten a boost from the monthly transfers and a break from constant use of its profits which now can be used to buy more stock. The transfers have enabled us to be able to buy other household items without any problems.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I hope that in the next six months, we will be proud livestock owners as we hope to buy some soon. I also know that having completed the payment of our daughter's school fees will give us the opportunity to spend the rest of our transfers on other household items such as decent chairs that will definitely make our house more beautiful.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it was four months ago because some financial burden has been eased since my business is picking up so well and I am guaranteed to at least get some money I can use to buy food at the end of the day. I also feel proud that I have two children pursuing their secondary education which assures me their bright future. I honestly thank GiveDirectly for transforming my life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to build a new house since the one I am living in at the moment is too small and old yet I have a big family. My children always walk to different compounds in my neighbourhood to spend their night which is too risky especially for the teenage girls. This happens so because our house is too small to accommodate all of us.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I managed to enrol my son in secondary school. Paying school fee for our children have been a great challenge and most of the neighbours thought my son would discontinue his education after completing primary education. I managed to save to be able to raise his school fee and I am optimistic that he will complete his education and become a better person than myself in future.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have a new house which will be spacious enough to accommodate all of us especially during the night such that my children will not be hoping from compound to compound to get a place to rest at night. This has always been my biggest worry since my daughters are at great risk of sexual assault.
