How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
After recieving these transfers I have certainly gained new goals. I now really wish I could start a pre-owned clothes business. In my village, people are making good money from selling used clothes. I believe having an active business would improve my family and I's daily livelihood. I desire an income so that I never lack basic needs. I want to be able to educate my children and expand the possibilities of them being successful in life more than I could ever imagine myself.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I have never seen an organization help us with so much grace. I recieved a lot of money and it came at a time when I was hopeless and least expected it. I have been very happy with this program and its way of work. I honestly cannot think of anything that GiveDirectly did not do well here. Everything was kind and beyond my expectations.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have invested much of my money from these transfers intore-bbuilding my house and buying food for my home. My house is still not complete but at least it is now safe enough for me and my family to live in. My farm yield from this year has also been horrible. The past cyclone washed away amd damaged all of my crops. I have bought some bags of maize to store for food. Now all I will worry about is relish but at least we have maize.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy to receive this money because I was now certain that I would fix the problems that I had.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
It was so stressful living in a damaged house. I always worried at night wondering if thugs would break in. Now that I fixed my house it feels more safe to sleep in the house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Part of my house was damaged so I used the money to buy bricks and I paid a builder to fix the wall . I also bought 7 iron sheets and nails to fix the damaged roof.
