How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have been in position to plaster my house and buy an ox that is currently helping me with ploughing my farm land. Before receiving these transfers, I did have enough money to buy an ox and plaster my house since the money I got from agricultural produce was spent on my children's medication and buying food.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to give me cash that I have spent for plastering my house. GiveDirectly has only done good for me.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase 20 bags of cement, food, farming, paid medical bills for my children, a debt and construction workers.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Currently, the biggest difference in my daily life is that, I am happy because I own a bull that is going to support in ploughing land for crop cultivation. We use bulls for ploughing instead of tractors.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I woke up in the morning, I heard my neighbours saying that they had received money from GiveDirectly. When I checked my phone, I found a message indicating that I had received money. I then informed my spouse about the news and our plan that we had agreed (buying a bull) shall be fulfilled on the next market day.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 1200000 for buying an ox in order to support farming with the one that we already had. I bought cement worth UGX 300000 for buying cement for renovating my house, I paid a debt of UGX 100000 that was incurred on treatment of children and the balance of UGX 100000 is saved to cater for future uncertainties.
