Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been able to launch a poultry farming business which I know will generate more income for me. Before I started this particular business I used to work as a motorcycle rider where I used to take a lot of daily returns to the owner of the bike every single day. Right now I have the freedom to look after my business and make sure it works for me.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My primary goal right now is to ensure that my business works for me so that I do not have to go and work for someone again in the future. So right now my main goal is to ensure that my poultry business works out for me.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Four months ago I used to work for someone as a motorcycle rider where I was forced to make daily returns to the owner. However, all that has changed and I now have the freedom to work on my own projects and generate as much profits as I can.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I want to build a new house for myself because at the moment I stay in my brothers house where there is little freedom for me. I believe that this is the right time for me to get a house of my own.
