How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I was living in a grass-thatched house before, but with the money that I received,I was able to build a semi-permanent house which is also much spacious.I have also been able to pay a huge part of I loan I had taken to purchase a piece of land. This has given me lot of peace since this was the biggest problem I had.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I like the way GD gives money directly to the recipients without letting it pass through the government officials and privately through their phones which ensures security of the cash. I have no negative feedback, keep doing things that way so that the poor can benefit.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent part of my second transfer to clear part of loan I had taken of KES 20000,bought a Heifer worth 13500 and a digital camera worth KES11000 to improve my photography business.
