Give directly does well in giving cash which has helped me build a better house. If you would give extra transfer, it would be even better

I used the money to buy 5 bags of cement, window and door frames, 32 window glasses, 2 doors and 5 bags of maize. I also paid labourers who constructed my house

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was super excited when i got the transfer message i couldn't believe it with my eyes i really danced that day,thank you so much Givedirectly for putting a smile on my face I'm now eating 3 times a day because of this organisation.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The difference right now is i have food in my house,i have a proper sleeping place and a good house,I'm really grateful my life has changed in a blink of an eye.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I would love to use this transfer to finish my house which i started building last year,so i used part of the money to buy cement and bricks and also i saved some to cater for labour expenses interms of the people building the house. The remaining amount i bought matress,blankes and ofcourse food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I feel I am very lucky to be assisted with money because our poverty is too much and with this assistance I will be able to sort out some of the things I was lacking
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy when I return from piece works at night because it is the time I am with my wife and we chat
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
When I dont find a piece work on the day, I find it hard to buy food in our household.
