How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
When the program started my goal was to send my four children to school, I didn't have money to register them in school for some years until GiveDirectly came to help us, since than that goal has been achieved through the help of GiveDirectly transfers. My new goal is to complete the house I am rebuilding, my house has been in a bad condition more than ten years and it has been embarrassing, I am doing my best to make this goal to be achieved.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by helping us unconditionally without any string being attached to it, I also love their manner of approach to us anytime we are being interviewed, I don't know anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well in this town.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my recent transfer to pay three of my children balance school fees, I also bought some flour to set up a little business so that I can raise money for my family, the balance money was used to buy some building materials for my house project.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The new goal that I have now is to fix my family house and make it more comfortable for our living. I don't have any major thing to desire right now except to have my house fixed and furnished.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, I love GiveDirectly because they are helping us unconditionally, they also talk to us nicely. I don't have anything wrong to say about GiveDirectly because, they have been doing everything possible to help us.

I want to use my third transfer to setup a business that will keep supporting my family and I. This business will be in a form of a shop, I will make it more attractive in the town so that more people can buy from me. I plan to send my children to school, I want to buy cement to plaster my house, I want to buy zinc to improve my house roof and I also want to buy matress for my room because, I have been lying on the ground.

I was picking kiss meat before my children and I can survive. But now through give directly people transfer, I was able to paid my children school fees, trying to improve my house roof and I am even buying matress to lying on it. This money is really a blessing to l and my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My name is Hawa Dennis from Wolakoi Town, Bomi County, Liberia.
My brother, I took a deep birth and felt relieved upon when I saw the cash transfer message on my phone. For the past 10 years my 15 years old son had not been in school.
I immediately paid my son school fees and sent him to my relative in Monrovia to go to school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
This cash had made a great changes in my life, I can now sleep on a new Premier mattress along with my new zinc close to me fory project. Most importantly my 15 years old son is now going to school.

I spent my recent cash to send my 15 years old some to school in Monrovia, I bought two (2) bundles of zinc sheet and 1 new Premier mattresses for my home because I was first lying on palm taches in my room.
My brother, for now I can feel happy to sleep on my new bed and thing positively to have my new house soon this year.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Since 2019, my children have not been attending school. So, I plan to use the transfer to send them to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The beginning part of this year, I was able to collect enough kiss meat that have been sustaining us in a little way even though it's not sufficient. Seeing that my children are not moving around begging has being bringing me joy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I don't have money to feed my children and send them to school. I usually collect kiss meat but that isn't possible right now because the river is full due to the rainy season.
