How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE: Yes i do have a new goal. I have been wanting to startup my own little business for years before the coming of givedirectly, but i couldn't afford even when i try to save, i could not make it because problems are always arising therefore the savings could not amount to much.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
RE: Givedirectly did very well for us. One like me, i have been wanting for years to startup my own little business but i could not afford. But from the givedirectly cash program i have started my businesses just as i wished My children have been maintained in school this academy year without any form of stress concerning school fees.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
RE: I spend the most of my recent transfer on starting up my own little businesses. I invested portion of my transfer on purchasing and selling of gold which i consider a long-term gain. I also invested the rest in starting up a food stuff business at home this way we will have food in the house everytime because as we sell, we use some of the profits for food when there's a need.

My new plan was to establish business to help sustained the family. So when I received my second transfer, I goods to start my business. In addition, I believe that when Give Directly is no longger around, this business will help support my family and I. Special thanks and appreciation goes to the family of Give Directly and the donors for putting smiles on our faces. I am very happy and I will continue to remain happy because Give Directly has rescued us from poverty.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was seated right at the front of my house when the transfer message came. So happy I was that I could not stop smiling. Because it came the right moment where I have been thinking all to myself of starting a new business.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I am a classroom teacher and I had the thinking of opening a business. But there was no cash then. Now this transfer has make me capable enough to start a new business which is the biggest difference in my daily life.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have not spend my money yet. My plan is to spend this most recent transfer on opening a business. Slippers, grease, toothpastes, toothbrushes and bath soaps are the things that I want to sell. Because these things are very difficult to find here in Dekoe's village. This is why I am so happy for GiveDirectly giving me the amount needed to make this business plan real.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am a class room teacher and I am on Government payroll and they were paying 110 dallars USD but now is reduce to 80 USD and it can not substained my family and I so if I am qualify for this program and I received any money from Givedirectly I am going to invest in to business and support my children in school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the past six months I have not had any joy or happiness because I worry about how to get money, but upon hearing about Givedirectly and the kind of help that they are doing for poor families around Liberia and been apart of this program I am very excited today so far that's my only happy time for the past six months.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
As I said I am a teacher and my salary is not enough to substained my family and I so my main challenge for now is money problem because my children are in Cestos going to school and I was called upon to pay their rent and no money right now.
