What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on paying my wife's dowry. I developed a very bad relationship with my in-laws for failure to pay their daughter's dowry in time. Despite the poor life that we lived, these people still thought that I didn't just wish to settle the dowry payment. They kept on threatening me of taking back their daughter if I failed to pay the dowry in the stipulated period of one month. I almost ran mad from this, as I wondered how I would raise the children we already had in the absence of the wife.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has greatly changed upon receiving transfers from Give Directly. Honestly, I wouldn't have managed to open 2 businesses for me and my spouse. Similarly, my son couldn't have gotten an opportunity to join form one were it not for the transfers.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, I feel Give Directly as compared to other organisations has done magics in my village. I lack words to describe the good job done to transform the lives of my fellow villages. It's just splendid!!
