How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, as a single Mother with nine children, my dream had been to built a new house and bigger house for my family that could accommodate all. For this reason I started buying building materials from my previous transfers. And these materials include zinc, roofing nail and others. However, with my recent transfer my goal still remain the same. On that note I used some of the money and bought the remaining one bundle of zinc. Moreover, I used a portion of the money to pay the contractors.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
My heart is filled with so much excitement for what GiveDirectly did for me and my children. I almost lost all hopes after I lost my husband. But GiveDirectly came right on time to rescue me and my children financially. Today I am one of the happiest person in my town. Therefore in honest judgement I haven't seen anything wrong done by GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With the desire to built a new house and bigger house for family, I used some of money from my recent transfer and bought the remaining one bundle of zinc. Furthermore, I used some of the money and pay the contractors. The remaining money was spend on paying my children's final school fees for this semester. I am very grateful to GiveDirectly for affording me the opportunity to be one of the beneficiaries of this unique opportunity.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am with so many children whom I have not been able to support in school. When I receive my first transfer from GiveDirectly, I used it to pay for my children's education. My second and third transfer have not been taken from my account because I want to build a new house for the comfort and future of my family. Therefore, the previous house that I am living in is very small to accommodate everyone. I have planned to use my previous transfer to build a new house that will make my children and wife happy. I just want to say thank you to the GiveDirectly for everything they have done by improving my life positively and making my family a happy family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
My husband died and left me with so many children. There is have been no help from anyone or even any of my family members. His absence in our lives has brought more poverty and setback in the family. I am so happy for the unconditional cash transfer program Givedirectly brought into our village because it is through this means I have been able to earn such amount of money to build myself a new house for the future of my children and send them back to school. Therefore, with this great help from GiveDirectly, I don't really think that there is nothing that is not done well. I will always remain grateful to GiveDirectly for everything they have done in my life.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Due to the uncomfortable condition of my recent house that I am living in with my family, I have planned to save my second and third transfer to build a bigger house that will accommodate my family and I. Since the death of my husband, I have been living in this small house with my children because I do not have any means of getting money to build a new house. Therefore, because of this reason, I have planned to save the transfer to be able to buy more building materials that will finish the future house of my family and I.

No! I have no new goals.About five years ago I lost my husband. My nine children and myself have been struggling. Things got so hard on us. The roof of our house got spoilt. My goal has always been to build a new house. Some of my family and friends took few of my children to Monrovia to stay with them. I make farina and sell to pay the rest of my children that are here with me tuition. I can hardly afford our daily meals. Business was not going too well. I was overwhelmed when GiveDirectly came to my town. I was so happy when I received my transfer. Hopefully after receiving all of this money our lives will improve.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done nothing unwell. It has changed our lives for the better. Being enrolled in the GiveDirectly's cash program is a dream come true. I can now afford our daily meals. I never have to stress or worry about my children tuition. I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity. After this program our lives will never be the same again.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
About five years ago I lost my husband. Since then, things have been so difficult for my family. I have been struggling to provide our daily meals. My children dropped out of school because I couldn't afford their tuition anymore. I was so happy when I received my transfer. I sent some of my money to my children that are in Monrovia for their tuition and upkeep. I also used some to pay rest of them tuition. I used the rest to buy a bag of rice and some other food items. Hopefully after I receive rest of the transfers I will change the roof of our house.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The joy and excitement I felt when I saw the message on my phone cannot be describe. I have been praying as a widow with nine children to take care of for this financial opportunity for so long. This transfer from GiveDirectly came as an answered prayer. I have been struggling to raise money to change the old thatched roof of my house to a zinc roof but to no avail.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
For the past four years since I lost my husband, life has never been easy for my children and I. As a single mother ,even finding food for nine children was always difficult to do. The thatched roof over our house has been leaking so badly with no hope of changing the roof because of the lock of money. However, GiveDirectly came right on time with this great help. I used most of my transfer to purchased zinc and roofing nail to change the old thatched roof to a zinc and better roof. With this new changes in our lives, we're grateful to Give Directly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am a widow. I have no one to help me cut thatch for my house. During the rainy season, there are leakages all over the house. This has been a serious issue for me since I lost my husband four years ago. Interestingly, with this transfer, I used most of the money to buy zinc and roofing nail to change the entire roof of my house from thatch to zinc. Furthermore, the remaining money was spend on food for my children and I. With this new changes in my life I remain forever grateful to Give Directly.
