How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has been different in that my standard of living has improved as compared to the past because most of my needs have been met like accommodation.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In opinion Give directly has done well in improving the living standards for the people in my community. On the other hand there is nothing bad GD has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying building materials for my permanent house and a half acre of land.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought iron sheets worth 700,000 ugx and clothes worth 80,000 ugx. I bought one sack of maize grain at 100,000 ugx. I have saved 300,000 ugx. The balance of the cash transfer I am spending it on buying food and other needs for my children.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received the message in the morning, I jubilated. I was so happy. My wife abandoned me because I was poor but when I received this cash transfer, I was too relieved that my children were not going to suffer anymore.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
There is a big difference in my daily life in that I now dress decently and I eat good food. My family is now happy and healthy. In the past we did not have nice clothes and we were not healthy.

The biggest hardship I am faced with is lack of money. I can not even buy food .

The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon.
