How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because i am now sitting on a very comfortable furniture that almost everybody do admire in the village as compared to before when I was sitting on old generation seats and I was the talk of the day. I am also sleeping very comfortably without any complaining as I used to do before.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Fortunately or unfortunately I do not have any new goal, since I have managed to achieve almost all of my dreams.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the comfort I am getting when I sleep after I managed to purchase a bed and a good mattress. I had been sleeping on the hard floor on a mat for a long time. It was so uncomfortable. My whole body could ache all the time. Furthermore, I no longer feel embarrassed. In this era, people use mats for other reasons but not sleeping, I have been so backward. I am having comfortable sleep. I am very happy and proud because I am now sitting on furniture that I did not know that I would ever sit on in my life. Thanks to GiveDirectly!!
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months l expect to continue enjoying sitting on the comfortable furniture I bought and also to continue sleeping comfortably.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in life is famine. For the past two seasons, I have been harvesting little from the farms. This has been overwhelmed by the family consumption. As a result, we have suffered from frequent hunger and struggled for meals. Life has been a real struggle.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when my children are back from school. They help me finnish the remaining activities of the day. I feel relieved by their effort to assist in completing the overburdening chores.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to spend my transfer on putting up a rental house. I already have a plot at a nearby center. I will use the transfer to buy iron sheets and hire labour force for the investment. I return, I expect to get rent which is a long term source of income for the family. I hope this will improve the family living conditions.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is having children. I once married but after siring three children with the wife, she ran away from me. I struggled to bring them up for twelve years but they all managed to survive, got education and fully grown. I am proud because despite disappointment from the wife, they are happy to be with me.
