How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes I have a new goal. In my plans, I never thought that I could be able to build a boys quarter with 2 rooms..This new goal came in after receiving this money..So I have procured iron sheets and cement for this new project..Also I would like to paint it after the whole process is done.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I feel like the provision of unconditional cash is a good thing as it helps in improving our living standards..For example, I could have never been able to renovate my house but with the money I managed to.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my second cash transfer to procure a few bags of cement for plastering and cementing my old house. I also bought rim rocks for security on my doors and a few tins of paint.
I then spend the other part of the money on procuring 2 bags of fertilizer as the rainy season is fast approaching.
Lastly, I bought some beddings such as duvets for my children and a few bags of maize to sustain us until the end of the year.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was happy and excited. Give Directly has done the impossible by giving us This huge amount of money. Alot of this will surely change
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life, is that o Will be able to finish my house. It could have been hard without the transfer.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I already have a medium house, but i was failing to finish it. With the transfer From Give directly, I have bought cement, paint, lime for finishing up house. I Will allocate some of it paying those that will be doing the finish up work. I Will Also pay school fees to my child who is secondary school.
