How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before the GiveDirectly program started, I had so many debts because of financial conditions at the time, when I received my first and second transfers, I was able to settle all my debts which took away the stress from me. My new goal is to rebuild my house and make it more decent and comfortable for myself.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by being fair with us in the program, everything they promised us from the beginning of the program has all come to pass. They are also kind and patient with us during interviews. I don't know anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well, all is okay with me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have been saving some of my transfers to make my dream of rebuilding my house come true. I added my recent transfer to the savings so that I can get all the materials needed for my project. The project will start a few days from now.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My name is Edward Freeman, I live in weajor town. I have a new goal that, I did not have before receiving the transfer. My previous plan was to improve the house that I live in presently. my friend and I built the house we live in together and we are both beneficiaries on the program. He doesn't want to join hands with me to renovate the house, so I decided now to build a separate house for myself.

In my opinion Givedirectly is doing everything well for us. My life has improved greatly since I started receiving transfer, the organization always doing follow-up to know whether there is any difficulty in getting our money and to know how the transfer is being used by us.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have been struggling over the years to give my last child a quality education. If I'm successfully enrolled in to Give Directly Cash transfer program, I want to used the money or some of the monies to pay my daughter school fees. As you can see the condition of the house where I am currently residing, I will also use some of the money to recondition my building to a better standard; and I also want to do business as well.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Well, with the current living condition that I am in right now, I didn't get happy easily but what I remember recently that brought me Joy was, when a Lady brought me a delicious meal during the"Abraham day celebration" I am a Muslim by religion.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have lots of challenges but the one I considered to be the biggest is, my house, as you can clearly see, I'm living in a building that is not in good condition. Even by getting my daily bread has become a pronlem due to the current financial constraints that I am faced with, I didn't get better food to eat yester it was later that I got green banana last night to eat after spending the whole day hungry.
