What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent part 600,000 ugx of my second transfer on treatment of the kidney problem that I have had for quite some time. I then also bought a cow as an asset to help me in the future uncertainty of my treatment.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has done well because it has helped me with money that I have all along been using for my treatment
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I had not received the transfer, I could have died by now since the treatment that I needed was becoming very expensive that even my father was using up all the family property to get me treated. Now, my life is fair enough since I have improved and in possition to treat myself.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent 250,000ugx of my first transfer for getting my results from my previous school, 400,000ugx for buying a sowing machine and the balance of the money I have kept for treatment since I always spend 60,000ugx on treatment.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I recieved my first transfer I became very happy and I thanked God for bringing Givedirectly to our village.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I can now easily get my medicine, intially I had a medical condition (kidney problems) that costed a lot of money.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i face is kidneys. This has persisted for long where by i donot eat some foods like beans, meat and so on , I can not even do heavy work. This makes me too selective in food staffs to eat and yet I do not have asource of income, hence some times I sleep without eating in day.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is evening. This when I listen to cool music from radio, I get relaxed and sobber.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
The plan I have is to use the transfers to purchase sawing machine. I will start opereating it in bukedea town, where I shall be sawing sweaters for sell. This shall be making money for my up keep in along run.
