What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on buying sofa seat (one set), one bag of maize, I also bought sand and cement that I used in renovating my house, I also spent the remaining part of the transfer on boosting our fish business
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I was able to build a new house and I was also able to boost our small business that now supports us financially
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What Give Directly has done well is improving people's lives through sending cash directly to their recipients and then we get to decide by ourselves on how to spend the cash, I don't see what Give Directly hasn't done well

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy 25 pieces of roofing iron sheet for 16250 KES, 9100 KES i spent to buy timber for building, 4500 KES i spent to buy a steel door, 3000 KES i spent to buy 10 plastic chairs and transport charge to take these item home cost me 1000 KES. I also spent 6000 KES to buy a cow, 3200 KES to buy 90 kg maize for family consumption and the remaining 6450 KES I've been spending on daily household expenses.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is the better house i have. It's a great transition from a flat roof house to semi permanent house.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy iron roofing sheets which I will use to repair my current roof. The remaining transfers will be used to start a small business selling cereals.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having worked at a sand quarry and after diligently saving my earnings for a while I managed to build a house for my brother.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of enough money to renovate my house, it is dilapidated and has a leaking roof. This means that during the rainy season I am not comfortable in the house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I wake up because I can talk with members of my family.
