Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I give my phone to my nephew to go check on my transfer message because i cant read and write, he went up the hill to check and he saw the message. I was happy till i dance because where I'm living is not decent and i have many children. I wanted to build my house but didnt have the funds, after i saw the text and withdrew i knew i could build my house now. Thanks to GiveDirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I feel too happy and the biggest difference is that i will be able.to build my own house from the transfer money.

I spend my transfer on payimg children school fees, buying zinc and other materials for my house project.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful to receive this money, I will use some to build a house and use the balance to start a business which will bring joy to my family.
The reason why I want to build a house is because the house I was living in before broke down and I'm presently staying in my brother house with my family but his wife is not happy about me staying in their house.
I feel so bad about her attitude towards my family and I at times. If I was earning enough money from the coal I burn, I could build a house where my family and I will live and be at peace. But the little money I earn from the coal I burn, I spent it on food and medication.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months what has brought me joy is when I give birth safely to my daughter in the month of July 2021 at my house. It brought me so much joy because, I was worried about getting money to pay hospital bills. More besides my husband was not around and I never had anyone to help me in the process but God was by side and I give birth safely in my house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I'm facing now is lack of money.
Eventhough am engaged into burning coal as means of earning for my family but the money I earn from the coal I burn is not sufficient to build a house and start a business.
The house I was living in broke down in the month of September 2021 and I am now staying in my brother house with my family but his wife is not happy about me staying in their house with my family. She goes to the extent of making confusion with me.
I am not satisfied with my living conditions, I will appreciate any help from Givedirectly to improve my livelihood.
