My life is now different because I am able to do alot of things like start a business or buy things for my house. My children are now going to school

Givedirectly helps recipients by giving them money to be able to help them with their problems what is does not do well is continue giving out cash transfers

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I got the message in the morning whilst we were preparing to go to our maize field. The journey was pause for some minutes and me and my husband started dancing. We then rushed to take a shower and together we headed to the near by agent to withdraw the money.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Life in the village is unpredictable and it's a very difficult life to bear. If I start mentioning all the difficulties it might take the wholeday. But I am greatful to GD as I can now rejoice everyday waking up in a beautiful house which is properly finished and having food to take us the wholeday in my kitchen.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Finishing my house is what receiving this house means to me i built this house so that all my family members should sleep under the same roof but i got sick and i couldn't make enough money to finish this house, i would like to use the funds to buy enough cement and finish my house
What is the happiest part of your day?
Every morning when i see my family I am happy knowing another day God has blessed my family with the gift of life
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Sickness for 3months the doctors could not tell me what was wrong i tryed traddition medicine and it worked but when i recovered i coudnt go back in the ways i was duin to source enough funds for my family
