The biggest difference the cash transfer made in our lives was for us to buy our own land, five bundles of zinc, and nails to start our house project. We have seven children, and had nothing to show as parents. Now that Give Directly has come to assist us, we can say that we have started getting our own property. Thanks Give Directly.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"If I am bless to receive cash transfer from Givedirectly, I intend to pay for my children school fees and use the remaining to start a business. Even though I do contract to make money to support my children in school and buy food for the family, but the money I get is not enough to give them the real education. Right now one of the children is attending in Gbaweleken Town school called Demonstration, while the other two are in Fish Town attending school, but the school fees has gone up because of the hard time. So, it not easy to get money now from the contracts I do. If Givedirectly give me any help, it will help me educate my children well".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"What makes me happy in the past six months is when in July of this year my sister Agnes Dardeh who lives in Pleebo City, Maryland County called me and gave me $3,000.00 Liberian dollars for me and my family. This makes me happy because we didn't have any thing at all that July month especially around the Independence Day celebration. The money she gives me was used to buy a 25kg rice that I brought happiness to the family".
