My life is currently different from how it was in that I managed to build a spacious house since I had a small one which could not even fit five people at a go. I have also managed to pay school fees for my two children in high school. At some point, the burden was so much and probably they could have dropped out of school were it not for Give Directly to come through. Buying the goats that I nowadays sell to pay school fees have been a relief because they reproduce faster and this has enabled me to meet most of my pressing and urgent needs that I could not have met before.

In my opinion, GiveDirectly does a good job by changing people's lives. I am a good example because I have managed to build a decent house and paid school fees for my grandchildren who have never been sent home due to fee arrears ever since I started getting help from Give Directly. Generally, the whole community has changed in different ways. Most people were able to install electricity and build houses. Personally, I don't think there is anything the organization is doing wrong.

I spent part of my transfer on paying school fees for my children who are in primary and secondary schools because I did not have anywhere else to get the money and there is no one at that time whom I could point that was willing to chip in. I also spent part of the money to pebbles that I will use to continue the construction work which I had started with the first transfer since the one we. Part of the money went on buying three goats. This is an investment for me because I recently sold two of them and used the money to pay school fees for my two children in high school who had fee arrears. I believe the goats will continue giving birth and help me on such situations. I had been struggling to pay the school fees and almost gave up, maybe my grandchildren could have been dropouts and I could have failed as a guardian. I finally bought a mattress and bed because I previously had an old one with a small bed.

I paid school for my children and also built a new house to accommodate my family.

I felt very happy and grateful to GD for such a huge amount of money. I have never received such kind of money in my life.
