How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have no new goals. Things were difficult for me. I could not afford my daily meals. I could not afford my children tuition and our upkeep. Things began so hard for me. I was excited when I received my payment. My goal has been to see my children get better education and live in a better hom. Hopefully that goal become a reality.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does not do anything unwell. It's cash program changes our lives for the better. We are so thankful for this opportunity. Hopefully Th ings will get better in our lives.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was overwhelmed when I received my transfer. I used some of my money to pay my children tuition. I also bought their school items. I used the rest to buy zinc and a bag of rice. Things were so hard on me. I could not afford my daily meals. I could not even afford my children tuition and our upkeep. I am so grateful for this opportunity.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
About three months ago I decided to go into the bush to cut some stakes for the construction of my house but I don't have money to pay people bring the stakes to town. I am an operation patient so I was advised to avoid some hard work such as lifting weight. Up to now I still live with my mother in law. If Give directly send me any money my first and foremost plan is to pay people bring my stakes to town and start the construction of my house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Nothing has really brought me joy for the past six months. With the presence of Give Directly in my town, I am hopeful that things will get much better with me and the family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Money has become my major challenge. Currently my children are not going to school because I don't have the financial means.
