How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to pay for my 6 children education and buy their school materials for this academic year. I am a mother of 10 children and my oldest child is schooling in Buchanan city, Grand Bassa county. It has really been worrisome for my husband and i to get our school-age children back in school. For the past 3 years now, 5 of our children had been out of school and the reason is because of no money. Now that we have received this third transfer. It will truly fulfil one of our goals of enrolling our 5 children back to school.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done so well for my family and I. I have not seen any bad yet. Imagine that I didn't had money to support my children in school and I have not even spend on their educations before. All their school burden had been on my elder sister. But here now I have received this third transfer. I feel now empower to support my children educations. This is really a true happiness for my husband and I. We are so thankful to GiveDirectly for such an opportunity.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Paying school fees and buying school materials will be the plans that i have to spend this third transfer on. I have 5 children who have been out of school for the past 3 years now. My elder sister was the one supporting my 6 children in schools. But things have been unfavourable for her since 3 years now and she can only afford my oldest child school burden. Now that i have received this third transfer, i will spend it on paying my children school fees and buying their uniform, school books, back bag and other school related materials. So that they can get back to school.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I never had a goal before Give Directly intervention. Things was very hard on me and my husband. In order to survive, I had to fix fufu and carry to the coast for selling covering two hours walking distance on daily basis just to buy few cups of rice for eating. Many days, we used to eat boiled cassava for meal either because, I never had market to sell or customers didn't buy from me. In addition, me and my family were living in a dilapidated hut that when ever rain falls, we couldn't sleep because of the leakages in the hut roof. When I got my first transfer, I was overwhelmed and decided to built my own house and settle food issue. Right now, at the result of our saviour Give Directly program, I can now boost of my own zinc house standing and awaiting domping. The issue of food is no longer a problem in my home. We are now living happily with the expectation of finishing our new house in the soonest possible time.
