My life is different from how it would have been four months ago in that that we have been able to start a poultry keeping project as a family. We used our most recent transfer to achieve this. In addition to this, I have been able to expand my dairy farming project by buying another dairy cow. I am glad my life will be better with this investment.

My new goal is to buy a heifer. Expanding my dairy project has always been my prayer. This is because it is advantageous to invest in it compared to investing in maize farming. Farming can be affected by the weather often than dairy farming.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am a proud owner of a dairy cow. I have been saving part of my monthly transfers in our table banking group to achieve this. Due to this, my milk production will increase after it reproduces hence I will earn more income through the sale of milk. I will also not have to buy milk as I used to. The number of cows I own will also increase which is a sign of wealth and investment for my family.

I expect that my life will have changed in the next six months in that I will have bought a heifer. My poultry keeping project will have also expanded. This two projects will help me to pay for my son's education without much struggle.

I no longer work for long hours as a casual laborer as I strive to get extra income that will enable me meet most of my family's needs. This has also enabled me to have enough time with the family and attend to my own projects like farming at home. Having most of the things for the family that I could not provide before has resulted in me having a peace of mind and enjoying quality time with the family. This is how my life has turned out to be different over the last four months.

My additional goal for the next four months is to be able to add another livestock in my herd. Livestock investment shall be of great assistance to us as a family since it will enable us meet most of our needs in time. They can be sold to salvage even the emergency situations whenever they arise. It is also an investment that will help me in the days to come by enabling me to pay school fees for my children and give them good quality education which has always been my dream.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to have a dairy cow for the family which has enabled me to save more money and do other family investments. For a long time we had spent a lot of money buying milk for the family which did not allow us to make other valuable investments for the family. I have also been able to improve my farming practices by being able to apply fertilizers on my crops and planting hybrid crops that have resulted in higher yields in the long run. This, I have been able to do with the help of the transfers that I receive and at the same time keep my child in school at all times by paying school fees in time.

In the next six months I expect my life to change in that I will have more livestock to keep. I also expect to have advanced my farming methods which will consequently lead to more income that will be so helpful in meeting other family needs. Going forward. I want to move from subsistence farming to commercial agriculture and be able to raise more money for the family. I plan to do farming on short term horticultural crops that will give more income and within a short span of time.

I pay my son's fees more easily unlike before when he used to spend most time home due to lack of school fees. Thisis really gives me peace of mind since I am quite certain that he will get good grades owing to the fact that he is due to sit for his final examination at the end of the year.

In the next four months, I m saving on buying a water tank of a capacity of 3000 liters, this would help store rainwater in order to reduce my wife's workload. Water for domestic use is found in water points that are really far away from the homestead. Storing rainwater will make it easy for my wife and for us all.I am planning to give water to my cows at home in order to improve its milk production capacity since they usually walk longer to the watering points and their milk production is lower.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now live in iron roofed house unlike before when it was grass thatched hut. This house used to leak whenever it rained. I used to move and heap my belongings in one corner of the house in order to keep them safe from rainwater. I also no longer strain like I used to do in tea picking, a casual job. Working for 6 hours in difficult conditions like the scorching sun and cold spells was not enjoyable at all. Currently, I work half of these hours and still meet my familys needs at ease. This is because my work is supplemented with the money I receive from GiveDirectly.

In the next six months, I will be having a tank at home, this means my wife will be having lesser work to do since going for water was quite a task due to distance and now the main focus would be working on our farm thus higher production and my family would be well fed.

My life is much more comfortable now since we don't get rained and there's less worry on possible exposure of my child to sickness since i have a better house now.

My goal in the next six months is that i want to buy an additional dairy cow to add onto what i have now.

The biggest difference in my life is that i live comfortably in an iron sheet roofed house as compared to before when i used to stay in a thatched roofed house.

I want to be more financially stable in the next six months and possible concentrating on my own farm without having to do casual labor. I want to be self sustaining.
