How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't having new goals before receiving this transfer, i was planning to build my own house in this town, for this reason the house project is on going now in this town.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Giving this money to we the poor people without paying back is more than good to me, i don't know anything that GD did that is not well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was able to Purchase two bundles of zinc and others house materials for the construction of my house and others community activities in this town.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE: I have been a farmer all my life and it is from the farm harvest we had survived from all along. I planned to build a house since this givedirectly cash program entered our town. Having a good and warm place to sleep is my biggest dream and wish.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
RE: In my opinion givedirectly is doing very well with this program. This is the first program were people money is given directly to them without passing through someone and because of this we tell givedirectly thank you.

RE: I spend the most of my recent transfer on purchasing gas to produce planks for the construction of house. I will use the balance to pay the workers who will build my house.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I want to expand my mini business to large business for that reason i had decided to import new goods from Bucchana city.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
By providing unconditional cash transfer to people that can't afford such amount in the period of two or four months time. As for me all is okay with Give Directly and I'm happy with then.

I sent for more goods in the city and pay my children balance school fees ; with this expansion in the business i will be financially empower and i know things will be good for me.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
RE: It was a cold early morning when i received a message on my phone. So i decided to take it to my sister to read the message to me but before i could get out of the house to my sister house, i heard noise everywhere, the whole town was outside down, people jumping, others dancing, among others. The people was over joy that they have received there givedirectly transfer. Right away i knew it was my givedirectly transfer as well so i join the celebration smiling.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
RE: The biggest different this givedirectly transfer is making in my life as of now will be improving not just my house but my wellbeing as well. By renovating my house roof which have been leaking for so long is a big deal for me. Besides imagine how worried i was as we are approaching rainy season again. I cannot explain the joy am feeling right now, all I can say is am grateful to God and givedirectly for this help.

RE: I will be spending the most of my transfer on renovating my house which have been my greatest desire. I will be purchasing zincs and cements to renovate the roof and flow of my house which has been beyond damage for so many years.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My spouse is involved into farming for the sustainability of the family and the farm didn't produce this year. So was worried how for the sustainability of the family. Therefore, I will use my money to change the roof of my house and open business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
We are struggling too bad when it comes to meeting our family needs. I was very happy when I saw the Give Directly people entering our town . I am setting that our lives will change when we start receiving cash transfer from Give Directly .
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
As I said earlier, the farm didn't produce this year which have hinder our living condition as a family. Moreover, I am suffering from rheumatism and my spouse is actually struggling to supports the family.
