How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am my happiest these days because now I can realistically envision myself living in an iron roofed house, with durable wooden doors and very spacious. I say realistic because I now have the means to make my dreams come true. All thanks to your organizations' program
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion this has been a good program and organization to work with through and through. Just by fulfilling your promise you made me and others in my community the happiest people
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Since I already started buying construction material with the first transfer, I used the second transfer for all the remaining materials that needed to be available for the project to commence. I intend to build myself and my family a bigger house that will have reliable doors and generally secure because it will also be roofed with iron sheets. Our initial house is grass thatched and not spacious enough to accommodate my family comfortably

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment we received our our transfered we were absolutely overwhelmed with happiness and gratefulness that our plans would come to fruition.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in our daily lives is that we initially had no descent place to lay to rest during the night. Now we have good looking beddings. As I mentioned we also bought iron sheets, we plan to extend our house and make it bigger as we have children and our current house is really small. We now look forward to a much comfortable house setup.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When we got the transfer we bought a mattress, iron sheets, fertilizer, maize, and household furniture

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money means that once I receive It, I will be able to construct a better house than the one Iam staying in. Part of the money will also be used to buy food, mattress and farm inputs. It will simply save me from suffering and starvation.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Iam happiest in the evening when iam going to sleep and iam so active at this time as we usually have food/meal at this time.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenge I have faced in my life is poor health. I do not enjoy good health.
