How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has completely transformed. Before the transfer I never even imagined being able to fix my house. I lived in a grass thatched house that was consistently cold, my floor was dusty and unkempt. So when I got my first transfer I fixed the roof with iron sheets and now with this second transfer I am cementing the floors. Words even fail me on how much to appreciate.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I love this organization. I do not see anything that should change. All I see is honesty.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my second transfer on cement and maize. I bought cement so I could finish renovating my house. Since my house now has an iron sheet roof, I want to pair that with nice cement floors. And the maize is my family's' staple, to ensure that while we live in a nice house, we are also able to eat three times a day.
