Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life is better because I have acquired things which I could not afford like utensils, metal framed windows and a bed. My house is now looking beautiful. In addition, I can also afford to have a balanced diet. Prior to this transfer, I could not afford to have a balanced diet and proper windows ( I used wooden framed windows which are out dated).
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very excited because financial support from GiveDirectly which has to enabled me get what I was lacking in my house like metal framed window and abed.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I paid off a debt worth UGX 300,000 and repossessed my farm land, bought household goods ( a bed, a pair of bed sheets, basins, utensils) worth UGX 203,000 and bought building materials( windows) worth 112,000. However, the recipient could not remember how much she spent on food. There is a balance of 900,000 which I'm planning to spend on renovating my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will spend it for buying land. I currently hire land year for farming at a rate of 100000 yearly. This has proved costly since I can not even save any money for educating my children. once I own land, I will be able to do planting easily and at earlier stages thus improve on the quantity and quality of crop harvest. I will be selling some for money to realise school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When my children get satisfies after eating lunch in the afternoon. I feel relived and Iam able to plan for the next day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of sufficient food. Iam unable to sustain and feed my family well because of no land to farm. My family realises little crop harvest each year and as such lack of basic needs.
