How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been engaging in a lot of farming which is what has been feeding my family for a very long time. One thing I like about farming is that you can never go hungry so long as you take good care of your crops. In as much as there has little rain so far, I am glad that the crops are doing quite well and I can always earn something from them.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My desire right now is to see myself starting a sma scale business whivh I expect to perfom quite well going into the future. I know that by getting this business running, I will be able to get some little cash every othe month to esnure that my family remains healthy because I know that I will be in a good position to provide balanced diets for them.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I managed to build a new house for my family and we eventually moved away from the small house that could barely accommodate all of us. I had always wanted to have such a house but then again due to limited finances, it has always remained to be a far-fetched dream that could have never been realized was it not for the unconditional cash transfers from Give Directly.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Just like I mentioned before, I have been engaging in some small scale farming but my main desire is to get into the world of business where I intend to start a shop and earn some little cash from it, so that we will have the surety of getting some cash to buy food on a day to day basis.

The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving money from GiveDirectly is that I have a bigger house that fits me well and my family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have installed electricity in the house so that I won't be budgeting for kerosene daily which is so expensive.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I'm now at peace knowing that I managed to expand the house that I have longed for but I couldn't afford. This how my life is currently different from the way it would have been had I not received money from GiveDirectly.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I have a new goal of plastering my house so that it can look more decent, I once thought of it but I couldn't afford it but now that I'm expecting money from GiveDirectly I believe I'll do it.

The biggest hardship I have faced in life, is being unable to educate my children since I only depended on small business and subsistence farming which is not well rewarding at times.

The happiest part of my day, is late in the afternoon when I meet friends at women groups. I feel happy whenever we share how best we can run our group projects successfully to enhance our development.

I am planning to spend my transfer to improve my house by cementing its floor. I shall also spend part of my transfer to add more stock and improve my business since it is my main source of livelihood.

The achievement I am proudest of in life, is having operated my business from which, as a widow I managed to save some money. I used my savings from the business to buy materials for building the house I am currently living in.
